The shipmates of the ships named USS Holder DE401, DD819, and DDE819 went to Lancaster, Pennsylvania and the Hotel Brunswick for their 15th reunion.

0700-1000 Breakfast
1300 Two buses departed for the tour of Milton S. Hershey School complex and the Hershey World for a fascinating education about chocolate.
2000 we held our annual business meeting.

After breakfast there was free time and many enjoyed an unscheduled tour of the Amish farms and country while others did their own tours of Lancaster.
1500 Guest speaker CAPT. Frank McCabe (USCG, retired), who was CO of the USS Menges DE-302 in 1944, talked briefly about the transfer of the stern of USS Holder DE-401 to USS Menges.
1900 Our Annual Banquet was a natural success and was followed by dancing and a good evening.
This was the day for all the farewells and the shipmates' departures.
